Milngavie Extension

This vaulted ceiling extension was added to a large property in Milngavie to create a bright, open living space that works well for everyday use. The vaulted ceiling adds height and character, making the room feel spacious without losing warmth.

The extension is fitted with a full wet underfloor heating system, giving even heat throughout and keeping the space free of radiators. Large glass windows and doors were installed to bring in plenty of natural light and open the room up to the garden.

One of the main features is the “fish tank” style window with a built-in reading nook. It’s a simple but effective detail that creates a quiet corner to sit and enjoy the log burner and view while also adding something a bit different to the space.
The finished extension blends naturally with the existing house and adds a comfortable, well-lit living area that the owners can use all year round.
